Enric Montefusco

Singer Enric Montefusco invites you to take a walk along his 'Meridiana'

He will be presenting his latest album, which is named after one of Barcelona’s major avenues, at three performances at the city’s civic centres.

Leader of the hardcore band Standstill almost two decades ago and now embarked on a solo project, Enric Montefusco will be performing songs from his album Meridiana in three concerts at Civic Centres in Barcelona: on Friday 16 March at CC Park - Sandaru, on the following day at CC Matas i Ramis and on Friday 20 April at CC Tomasa Cuevas.

The eleven songs on Meridiana are a collection of images from the past and present of the avenue on which Montefusco grew up.  The album features some dozen musicians, though Montefusco wrote all of the songs and produced it himself. For his live shows he will be backed by Pere Jou on keyboards and the accordion.

These performances are part of the Barcelona Cultural District network project, a live entertainment circuit whose objective is to take quality culture to the city’s neighbourhoods and to invite Barceloneans to be not only active spectators but also co-creators of events.

Tickets for the concerts are free, but must be booked in advance by contacting the corresponding civic center.
