Journalist

(Benavente, Zamora, 1974). Jorge Dioni holds a Degree in Journalism from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). His debut book, La España de las piscinas [The Spanish Pool Chronicles] (Arpa), received the Book of the Year award from the Madrid Booksellers Guild. In 2023, Dioni published El malestar de las ciudades [The Malaise of Cities] (Arpa).

He has built a professional career in newspapers (Sport, Marca and Metro), radio stations (SER, RNE and Ràdio Gràcia), magazines (GQ and El Estado Mental), and he has worked in institutional communication (the Association of Basketball Clubs, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia). He gives reading and writing workshops at the School of Writers and collaborates with publications that include La Marea, El País and Vanity Fair.
