Philosopher and politician

He holds a PhD in Philosophy and is Emeritus Professor at the University of Girona, where he was Vice-Dean and a member of the Board of Trustees. 

A researcher of Cicero and Thomas More, he has published and given lectures in Catalonia, elsewhere in Spain and various countries abroad on education, ethics and politics. Alongside Ulises Cortés, he is co-author of the book of dialogues La intel·ligència (artificial), a la butaca [Armchair (Artificial) Intelligence]. He was a member of the Spanish Congress and Parliament of Catalonia, a councillor in Girona City Council and Minister for Education and Universities in the last government of Pasqual Maragall.
