Carme Trilla i Bellart
Economist
Specialising in the housing sector from a social, economic and public policy perspective. From 2004 to 2011 she held the post of Director-General and Secretary of Housing for the Government of Catalonia.
She was a driving force behind the Right to Housing Act 18/2007 and the National Housing Pact 2007-2016. She has worked with Càritas Barcelona on social housing issues and currently chairs the Fundació Hàbitat3, which manages more than 900 social housing units, promoted by the Bureau of the Third Social Sector of Catalonia. She sits on the Advisory Board for the Barcelona Neighbourhood Plan and chairs the Barcelona Metropolitan Housing Observatory.
