Comprehensive Maintenance Plan (PMI in Catalan)

Working to ensure that public spaces function properly. We monitor the obsolescence of installations and tend to the busiest spaces to avoid incidents and deterioration. And, of course, we also enjoy the cooperation from the general public in reporting any problematic situation.

How we allocate the budget

The Comprehensive Maintenance Plan (PMI) is planned and preventative in nature, aiming to avoid incidents and the deterioration of public spaces. It does not involve redevelopment or changes in current uses. We focus on planned, coordinated and comprehensive preventative renovation of the various elements in public spaces before they break or become obsolete.

We are responsible for the maintenance of elements such as traffic lights, urban furniture, roadway structures, horizontal and vertical signage, pavements, etc.

Furthermore, we are constantly undertaking:

  • Reparació

    Repairs

Repairs include unplanned maintenance operations that are carried out when an incident is detected in public spaces. Action is taken to provide a rapid response.

  • Transformació

    Transformations

These are carried out where there is an intense need for renovation, new uses have to be defined, and it is therefore necessary to redevelop the space.

When city transformation projects are designed, we take into account the fact that subsequent maintenance should be as effective as possible.
