Lita Cabellut

Guided visits to a retrospective exhibition on Lita Cabellut

Espais Volart offers a series of guided visits to the exhibition by this Aragonese artist to explore all the secrets of her paintings.

From 5 October, Espais Volart has been hosting an exhibition on Lita Cabellut, an artist who was born in Sarinyena (1961), in the province of Huesca, and who currently resides in the Netherlands. Cabello her own daring style, one that surpasses the limits of conventional painting, and which draws on the influence of Rembrandt, Goya and Velázquez, but employing her own impulsive, vivid vision. Cabello tends to use intense and temperamental colours on large canvases, as can be seen in this exhibition designed and directed by the artist herself, together with Antoni Vila Casas.

The exhibition is, of course, open to individual visits, but, to capture all of the nuances of her work, we recommend taking a guided visit (though you will need to understand either Catalan or Spanish). Meet Art visits will be offered every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday during the months that the exhibition lasts. They will last approximately one hour with the aim of bringing the viewer closer to the work of the artist Lita Cabello. Walking through the new Espais Volart, the visitor can contemplate the works that make up the exhibition, discovering them through the series in order and paying special attention to the most outstanding pieces.
