Classical melodies from Broadway musicals
Tunes from musicals like 'Cats', 'Mamma Mia!', 'Cabaret' and 'West Side Story' will ring out at Palau de la Música on 4 January.
Broadway is the theatrical epicenter of New York and its venues have hosted musicals that have been on the bill for season after season. Many of these musicals were later made into movies and the opposite has also happened more than once. The result is that there are few people in the world who haven’t sung or at least hummed the melodies to songs like Singin 'in the Rain, Memory from the musical Cats and the theme song from Cabaret. If you’re a fan of musicals, be sure not to miss the show Welcome to Broadway, which will be on stage at Palau de la Música on 4 January, which will include songs from Mamma Mia!, Jesus Christ Superstar, Moulin Rouge and West Side Story, among many others.
These musical scores will be performed by the Broadway Symphony Orchestra, and the music will be accompanied by dances and choreographies. An ideal show for all ages!
