"Sublime music from the big screen", a charity concert in the Petit Palau

Pianists Carles Lama and Sofia Cabruja will be the protagonists of the concert on the 12th of June
 

On the 12th of June, Carles Lama and Sofia Cabruja, two virtuoso Catalan pianists who constitute one of the world's most renowned piano duets, will offer a charity concert in the Petit Palau venue of the Palau de la Música under the title Sublime music from the big screen.

The evening's entertainment will feature pieces from the world of film and all benefits will go to projects that form part of the 'Concerts4Good: Music on a Mission' project of the Obra Benéfica-Social del Nen Deu (Baby Jesus Social and Charitable Organisation). Lama and Cabruja, often known as the Carlos & Sofia Piano Duo, will be accompanied by the Concerts4Good-Tierras de Marca string orchestra. The session will be led by renowned director Daniel Mestre Dalmau.

Committed to the promotion of classical music through concerts, festival performances, television projects, conferences and other events, Lama and Cabruja enjoy the recognition of the majority of critics and the general public since their beginnings in 1987. Often highlighted among their virtues are their capacity to transmit emotions and the range and quality of their repertoire.

The humanitarian aspect of the duo is manifested through various projects of a social nature, a commitment that has earned them an honorary distinction on the part of UNICEF. Their latest initiative in this area is this Concerts4Good: Music on a Mission.
