From the 8th of March to the 26 of April, the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site will be hosting a series of classical music concerts under the title Classical Spring. The concerts will take place on Sundays, beginning at 7 pm, in the Pau Gil Room, the perfect setting for this type of event. The programme for the series combines performances of chamber music featuring the Fem Música Association with fortepiano recitals offered by the European Fortepiano Association.

The fortepiano is a stringed instrument featuring a keyboard that is halfway between a clavichord and a 19th century piano and is precisely the instrument that will inaugurate the series on Sunday the 8th with a recital by Pablo Gómez featuring pieces by Bach and Mozart. Sunday the 22nd will see the turn of the cellos of Eulàlia Nosàs and Núria Comorera, who will interpret a selection of pieces by Boccherini. On the 29th, the Gaudí Philharmonic Quartet will offer a programme based around the works of Beethoven, Haydn and Piazolla.

The month of April will feature three further concerts, beginning on the 12th with fortepianist Arthur Schoonderwoerd interpreting Beethoven. On the 19th, the Duo Yunim will offer a varied selection of pieces by Vivaldi, Bach and Tchaikovsky and, finally, on the 26th, the Gaudí Philharmonic Quartet will return to close the series with a programme focussing on pieces by composers the likes of Toldrà, Turina, Albéniz and Falla.
