Music bands at Poble Espanyol

The Poble Espanyol brings together music bands from around the world

Over the course of five dates from April to June, five music formations from England, Germany and the United States will be playing at Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc.

The musical activities held at the Poble Espanyol are many and varied, running from concerts by major international figures to one-day festivals. The venue is now set to play host to a series of concerts by professional and school bands from around the world. These bands fall somewhere between a jazz big band and an orchestra and play popular songs from the 1920s and 30s, as well as reworkings of contemporary hits. The first concert on the agenda, on 13 April features The Music Makers from the United Kingdom.

All the concerts in the cycle will take place in the morning at the bandstand in the main square at Poble Espanyol. The following date will be on 18 April with the UK band Blowsoc, followed by Stadmusic Schwenningen from Germany on 21 May, Spielmannszug Esselbach, also from Germany, on 28 May, and finally Youth Music Abroad from the United States, on 21 May.
