The rooftop terrace at Palau Güell

Jazz on the rooftop at Palau Güell

During July and August you can enjoy live jazz performances in the incomparable setting of a building designed by Antoni Gaudí.

Palau Güell, one of the most spectacular building designed by Antoni Gaudi and located a stone’s throw away from the Rambla, can be visited in many different ways, since visiting times are very flexible, and the building more than justifies the effort. But one way of visiting the building is only possible on Thursday evenings during the months of July and August. This initiative is called Evenings at Palau Güell, and includes a quick tour around the building, an aperitif on the rooftop terrace with a glass of cava, and a live jazz concert in a setting that is magical, elegant and hypnotic.

The rooftop terrace at Palau Güell is an imposing setting, crowned by a spike topped tower and a dozen undulating chimneys in true Gaudi style, but also for the spectacular views it affords of Barcelona. With this deal you get a visit to the building, a bite to eat and a drink, plus views and music for a very reasonable price. Among the bands scheduled to performs are The Velvet Candles (6 July), Mayte Alguacil and Her Trio (13 July), Wax & Boogie Rhythm Combo (20 July), Quinteto Dequeral (27 July), The Oldians (3 August), The Lindy Hoppers Band (10 August) and the Pol Prats Quartet (17 August), bands that perform elegant jazz styles ranging from swing to modern fusion.

You’ll find additional information on the Palau Güell website, as well as ticket reservations.
