The Guitar BCN Festival presents Jackson Browne, one of the great North American singer songwriters

The concert on the 3rd of June in the BARTS will serve as a platform for the presentation of the veteran Californian's latest release, "Standing in the Breach"

Jackson Browne, one of the great exponents of the North American song writing tradition, will perform on the 3rd of June in the BARTS. Beginning at 9 pm the veteran Californian singer-songwriter will present his latest release, entitled Standing on the Breach, as part of the Guitar BCN Festival. The album was voted one of the Top 20 best records in 2014, according to Rolling Stone, who defined it as "...a powerful collection of songs about love and progressive ideas".

In the songs that comprise the new record, Browne explores ideas such as bravery, hope, uncertainty and the battle against conformity using his habitual brand of elegant, sensitive and timeless folk music. The concert will form part of an extensive tour that will take the artist to numerous countries.

Browne became popular in the 1970s, selling more than 180 million records in the USA over the course of his career. Even now, at 66 years old he remains, as the title of his new album suggests, '...in the breach'!
