Born CCM is also dressed up for Christmas these days

Free sample visits to the Born archaeological site

The free half-hour tours explore daily life in the year 1700

The guided tour Barcelona 1700. History and Life is part of the year-round programme of El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria. The tours last 90 minutes and cost €8.80. They allow you to walk on the streets of the district as they were 300 years ago while guides explain what daily life was like at that time. Now, coinciding with the Christmas season, from 23 December to 8 January, Born CCM is offering visitors the chance to enjoy a free half-hour sample tour. Just head there from 12.30pm to 1.30pm or from 5.30pm to 6.30pm to have the opportunity to explore the history of the people, houses and commercial establishments in the Born neighbourhood. You’ll also hear about some curious historical incidents, like on Christmas day 1705, when a comet crossing the sky above Barcelona spread panic among its inhabitants.

All of the participants in this sample visit will also have access to a 2x1 ticket offer on admission to the permanent exhibition. At the same time, at 7pm on 3 and 4 January, Born CCM will be hosting a screening of the film Born, a la sala Moragues!, directed by Claudio Zulian and starring Marc Martínez, Vicky Luengo and Josep Julien, among others. Places are limited and access is strictly on a first come, first served basis.
