Enjoy the best film soundtracks in concert at Barcelona’s network of civic centres
A classical string quartet and a guitarist will be performing an extensive selection of the golden moments from film soundtracks.
If you’re a fan of movie soundtracks you may wish to consider heading for one of Barcelona’s civic centres this month. A special programme by the city’s council is bringing a band made up of Irene Serrahima and Apel·les Carod on violin, Eura Fortuny on viola and Marta Pons on cello, accompanied by an electric guitarist, to some of the city’s civic centres to play a repertoire featuring some of the greatest moments in the history of film soundtracks in a format that combines the best of the classical string quartet with a jazz approach.
On 22 February, the band will be playing at El Sortidor civic centre, and will call in at La Sagrera the following day. The week after that sees performances at Guinardó civic centre on 2 March and at Sarrià the following day. The last concert on the tour will be at Can Verdaguer civic centre on 15 March.
