The Dansat Festival to celebrate its 12th edition

The festival will feature six performances and two workshops from the 28th of April to the 1st of May

One of the most consolidated dance festivals in Catalonia is back for its 12th annual edition. The Dansat Festival  wil take place at saT! in Sant Andreu from the 28th of April to the 1st of May, with five sessions featuring six performances and two dance workshops. This year the festival will reflect the recommendations of the companies that participated in the 2015 edition of the festival and that are part of the AlianSAT.

The festival performances will once again take place from Friday to Sunday and will feature post-performance talks with the choreographers and/or performers in the hall of the theatre. These talks will be led by the critics of the Recomana.cat website with the aim of making dance more understandable and accessible.

Among the highlights of the works are Triple Bill 2016 by Phoenix Dance Theatre (28 and 29 April); Sessió 6.4.2 by Cia. Sugar, Manuel Rodríguez, H. Carafi and Montse Sánchez i Cia. Vbuit8 (30 April and 1 May); and the family-friendly Mobilus by Cia. Addaura (1 May).
