Congrés neighbours fill the Canòdrom during open day

The square of the new Creative Research Park also hosted an interactive circus show last Saturday

Hundreds of families in the neighborhood of Congrés came on Saturday October 10th to meet the Cànodrom, the future Creative Research Parkwhich held an open day coinciding with the fiestas of the neighborhood. Visitors could check the progress of the work of equipping the facility, and in the evening, attended the circus activities scheduled. Residents of all ages marched through the Canódromo throughout Saturday. All with one thing in common: the illusion that the old dog racing building is reopening its doors, now turned into a new facility thanks to the Direcció de Creativitat i Innovació de l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB)A space devoted to creativity and innovation that has had the complicity of the neighbours, who may participate in the activities held there.

To liven up the day, the evening featured a workshop and an interactive circus show. Two activities in which attendees participated through the Kalliope app, an example of the type of proposals the Creative Research Park will host in the future.

Kalliope is an app for mobile devices developed by the creative programmer Pelayo Méndez and Pep Gatell, one of the directors of the Fura dels Baus. It is a tool to promote public interactivity in live entertainment, and has already been tested in some assemblies.
