On November 7 The Jazz Festival brings to Barcelona the international Majorcan singer, who releases new album, "Vivir sin miedo"

María Concepción Balboa Buika, Majorcan US resident, is an artist who knows how to mix with personality genres like jazz, copla, flamenco, electronic and Latin rhythms. Under his stage name, Buika has collaborated with names like Nelly Furtado or the Portuguese singer Mariza. In 2009, Buika won the Grammy Award for best traditional tropical album for his album

El último trago, and two of their songs sound on the soundtrack of The Skin I Live In, by Pedro Almodóvar.

Buika returns to the Palau de la Música with a new album, Vivir sin miedoan ambitious production wherer she sings in English, Spanish and Spanglish, and has partners like Jason Mraz and Meshell Ndegeocello.

Vivir sin miedo is co-produced by herself with Martin Terefe (Coldplay, James Blunt), and is the direct result of the extensive musical interests of the Majorcan singer, perhaps his most personal work to date.
Responding to a primary and even wild sound, but also subtly enriched by the experience, Buika acts in one of her favourite venues in the world, the Palau de la Música, during the 47th International Jazz Festival of Barcelona.
