BCN Live! – Premier edition
The new event will be held in the Teatre Principal on Wednesday the 26th of February
A new festival has come to town – BCN Live! The event will be held in the restored Teatre Principal on the 26th of February in bold defiance of the fact that the day in question is a mid-winter Wednesday. The theatre, located in the lower section of La Rambla, will be divided into two venues for the occasion - the main theatre hall and the El Latino Club.
The party will kick off at 8 pm with a performance by The Sounds, representatives of post-punk revival who have been performing throughout northern Europe since the beginning of the century. Next up is British band, Klaxons, whose much-awaited new record will be released this spring, four years after Surfing the Void. Following this, the party will move to the El Latino Club, where Russian Red will be performing songs from Agente Cooper, her new release which will hit the record shops just 24 hours before the concert.
The evening’s highlight will feature a performance by dynamic Swedish garage-rock outfit, The Hives, who are sure to draw the biggest crowd of the evening and who will be followed by no less than four DJ sessions from bRUNA, Groove Armada, Amable and Javi Green.
