b'Arts: Barcelona International Arts&VFX Fair

An International gathering of professionals from the field of Visual Arts and Effects (VFX) for films and videogames.

b'Ars is now celebrating its third edition at Arts Santa Mònica from the 2nd to the 5th of June. It aims to be a meeting place for professionals from the field: an event at which they can share ideas and knowledge. One of the star guests at this year’s edition is Richard Williams, a three-time Oscar winner, who will be speaking about his new, Oscar and BAFTA nominated short film “Prologue”, accompanied by his wife, the producer Imogen Suttoni.

Also on the bill are talks by people like Adam Valdez, who is in charge of VFX at the international production company MPC and was behind the animated effects in the newly premiered “The Jungle Book”; Dadi Einarsson, cofounder and creative director of RVX (Reykjavik Visual Effects); Jordi Bares, creative director of Glassworks UK; and Stuart Penn, who is in charge of VFX at Framestore, who will give an account of the work done for the new Warner production “Pan”.

And there’s more… Attendees at b’Ars 2016’s workshops will have the opportunity to work with some of the top professionals in the industry like Rudi Bloss of Paramount Pictures with “The Magic of Story Boarding”; Jean Claude Nouchy ofSideFX with “From zero to Houdini: Procedural modelling and Simulation”; Indira Guerrieri, senior look development artist at Pulse with “Look Development and Lighting”; Marjolaine Tremblay, creative director and VFX Bidding Producer at Rodeo FX with “From Script to VFX” and Escape Studios with “Nuke”.
