21st Edition of the Fire!! Festival of Gay and Lesbian Cinema
This year’s festival will open at the French Institute with the Spanish premiere of the film ‘La Belle Saison’
Everything is ready for a new edition, and this year will be the 21st, of the Fire!! Festival of Gay and Lesbian Cinema. Feature films, documentaries and short films will all be screened until 16 July, in a festival that is set to begin on 30 June at the French Institute of Barcelona, with the screening of the French film La Belle Saison, on its premiere in Spain. The film is directed by Catherine Corsini, who will appear at the screening, while a few hours before, the institute will open an exhibition on the 40 years of Casal Lambda. Those wishing to attend the screening should request an invitation from Casal Lambda.
Even though that is the official opening of the festival, even before 30 July there will be screenings of short and feature length films at different venues around the city. The Japanese film West North West, the Chilean film Nunca vas a estar solo and the Israeli film Marzipan Flowers are among the titles that can be seen in the festival’s official section.
