Every year since 1997, the Parents' Association (AMPA) at the Col·legi Pare Manyanet, a school in the Les Corts district, have put on the Pastorets (Shepherds), based on the play by Josep Maria Folch i Torres. The students stage their own version of this nativity play in the school's main hall. What is unusual about this is it is the only youth production that forms part of the Coordinadora de Pastorets de Catalunya, the body that coordinates the Shepherds' plays.

The Pare Manyanet school belongs to the Congregació dels Fills de la Sagrada Família, a religious order founded in Tremp in 1864 by Sant Josep Manyanet.
