Its festa major, held in honour of Sant Antoni - St Anthony-, marks the start of the city's celebration calendar.

The Sagrada Família provides the backdrop for most of the festa major, which is held round the Dia de Sant Jordi (St George's Day). For two weeks a host of activities are organised to liven up the neighbourhood and the people who live in it.

Since Modernisme is a characteristic trait of the area's architecture, the Dreta de l’Eixample wanted to make it the central feature of its festa major.

Fort Pienc's annual festival kicks off in the first fortnight in June and is concentrated in the local streets, squares and civic centres.

So, during the final days of September and the first days of October, Esquerra de l’Eixample is decked out for a festival with loads of activities and celebrations.
