'Europa FM' concerts with

9 pm Coriolà (Catalonia / folk, pop): The band from the Maresme has brought out a new album in 2017, a Tremolor that shows how Carles Chacón and his musicians have a mastery of the music language of folk and pop with North American roots.

10 pm Animal (Catalonia / fusion): Pop, reggae, the most uninhibited soul... There’s room for all of these rhythms and a few more in the music of a band that has found in fusion its raison d’etre and that showed what it was capable of in 2016 when it released Més Enllà de les Paraules. What, you mean you still haven’t heard them? Well, they’re waiting for you.

11.15 pm Vuit (Catalonia / pop, rock): The members of this group, which was born midway between Cunit and Barcelona, always arranged to meet up at eight o’clock (les vuit in Catalan), so when they were looking for a name, it was obvious. Under this name, they create a pop rock they debuted with in 2009 (Un Dia Qualsevol). This September, they’re bringing out a new album, from which they’ve already released the single No S'Atura el Món. That’s promising!

12.30 am Brian Cross and guest (Catalonia / DJ): A DJ and producer who’s an essential name at the major electronic music festivals. He’s appearing at the Mercè with a special guest.

1.45 am Pepet i Marieta (Catalonia / folk, rock and more): Integrated music from a group of musicians from the Tarragona area, with party as their motto. They start out with world folk music (from cumbia to jota and from folk and ranchera to pop) and fill them outrageous and critical lyrics with a message and full of good humour. They’ll be offering La Revolució dels Somnis (Revolution of Dreams), the title of their latest album.
