La conquista de lo inútil

Oscar Gómez Mata - Cia. L'Alakran / The Antic Teatre, at the Grec 2017

What makes someone submerge to a depth of 122 metres just to set a new apnoea record? What drives our most trivial actions, those that no cause justifies and for which one has to make a superhuman effort to obtain negligible results? The artist Oscar Gómez Mata gets the enthusiast up on the stage, namely, the man or the woman who believes in their ability to transform people and things and who has believed to be essential … that which is not. The conquest starts here!

One of the most active venues on the independent scene in Barcelona offers during the Grec a sample of its innovative multidisciplinary programming.

A production by the Companyia L’Alakran.

Coproduced by Saint-Gervais Genève Le Théâtre, Arsenic-Centre d’Art scénique contemporain (Lausanne) and the Festival El Lugar sin Limites-Teatro Pradillo (Madrid).

With the support of: Organe genevois de répartition de la Loterie Romande, Fondation Leenaards, Pour Cent culturel Migros, Fondation Ernst Göhner.

The 2017 tour has the support of La Corodis (Commission Romande de diffusion donis spectacles) – Loterie Romande.

L’Alakran is a company run jointly with the Republic and Canton of Geneva, the city of Geneva and Pro Helvetia-Swiss Foundation for Culture.
