Horacio Avilano. Cuarteto de Tango
El Harlem, al Grec 2017
Maybe when you see them it may seem that you are looking at a traditional tango guitar group. However, if you listen closely to Horacio Avilano and his musicians you will discover that hidden beneath their total respect for the essence of the genre there are universal sounds ranging from Bach to Piazzolla and from Chopin to the tangos of Horacio Salgán – a true musical watercolour in which tradition and the most innovative and original rhythms coexist.
Since 1987, the Harlem Jazz Club has put on nearly 10,000 concerts. Conceived as a place where artists can be free, artists playing every possible style of music, both established and as yet undiscovered, have appeared on its stage.
