War games, or historical simulations, are games of strategy that may re-enact real events or take place in fantasy or science fiction settings. Some feature small cardboard cards and elaborate miniatures.
This year, following the successful inclusion of this family of games at Dau Barcelona, and after two separate editions at El Born, the “Historic Dau” returns to Fabra i Coats.
Thanks to an agreement with Alpha Ares of Barcelona, the biggest war game club in Spain (www.alphaares.com), Dau històric features the Alpha Ares meeting, which the club organises every year and attracts wargamers from all over Spain and southern Europe.
Dau històric is a great celebration of historic, fantasy and science fiction games. The event is aimed at families, encouraging them to discover this family of board games, but is also the great festival for wargamers from all over the State.
