Carried out by Nico Alonso, the research work features accounts from dozens of people who have kept these festivities alive in the city’s neighbourhoods.
Before the festivities, you can enjoy the two exhibitions of festival figures that have been programmed this year: Les Laies and the Children’s and School’s Giants!
As ever, the female giants will be taking part in the ‘Passejada de les Laies’ procession and go on display at the Palau de la Virreina in the days leading up to 12 February.
The Three Kings will have a new route and six new floats
You’ll find anonymous postmen in the markets, city centres and main shopping hubs. Because Barcelona is very big and the Three Kings need lots of help!
To bid farewell to the year 2022 and welcome 2023, you are invited to the big party on Avinguda Maria Cristina.
The nativity scene in Plaça de Sant Jaume will be digital and will represent different traditions of the Christmas season.
When Christmas arrives, Barcelona fills with nativity scenes, living nativity scenes and performances of Els Pastorets. A year on and we’re back, offering you everything in a single programme.
Once again the Museu Frederic Marès has a traditional nativity scene. It is the work of the Barcelona Association of Nativity Scene Builders
