The Volant de Sant Cristòfol is a steering wheel-shaped brioche cake decorated with candied fruit and sugar. It can be found in Barcelona's cake shops around the feast day of Sant Cristòfol, 10 July.

Sant Cristòfol is the patron saint of travellers and, by extension, drivers. For this reason, a whole series of parishes in Barcelona pay homage to him with ceremonies involving the blessing of vehicles, especially on Carrer de Regomir, in Ciutat Vella. Because of this patronage, the cake makers guild decided to market the sweet steering wheel, and it has become the traditional food of the festival.
