Within the Horta-Guinardó district, the Baix Guinardó neighbourhood is an area with its own special character. It was a well-known fact that the area, traditionally, was very close to Vila de Gràcia, at the turn of the 20^th century, because of the summer houses that were there. Today, the Parc de les Aigües –where the district's HQ is– and the Ronda del Guinardó are the nerve centres of the neighbourhood, and are where the majority of the cultural events take place.

The brief but intense festa major, the main festival of the neighbourhood, comprises a series of sporting, popular culture and fun activities. There are also community meals, historical itineraries where you can discover the past of the area, and dances in the evenings, as well as events for kids and older people.
