It’s time to (re)discover the Ateneu Barcelonès
This historic association is housed in a stately residence dating from 1779.
At midday on Sunday 17 December you will have the opportunity to explore all of the nooks and crannies of Palau Savassona in Carrer Canuda, the historical headquarters of the Ateneu Barcelonès. The guided tour is organized by the Ateneu itself and to take part it is essential to register in advance. You can do so by calling 93 343 61 21.
The route, which will start at the Carriage Entrance, will allow visitors to explore both the site and the history of the Palau and the history of the Ateneu Barcelonès. This emblematic association, with more than a century and a half of history, has among its main objectives to act as a center for intellectual debate, promoting an open, transversal and constructive dialogue with civil society. The Ateneu has an outstanding library with a collection of 250,000 documents, as well as a writing school and an intense agenda of cultural events throughout the year.
