Asian Film Festival

Barcelona’s Asian Film Festival is back

The 2017 edition of the festival is set to run from 2 to 12 November with a very attractive programme.

Barcelona has always been curious about Asian films and this festival, which focuses on productions from Japan, Korea, Thailand and China, among other countries, has generated a whole cult around it. The festival was taken over four years ago by Casa Àsia and the new Asian Film Festival, is continuing with the mission of bringing to Barcelona films from Asian countries, including Vietnam and the Philippines and even branching out into Oceania with films from New Zealand and Australia. The fifth edition of the new format festival is set to take place from 2 to 12 November.

The ten days of the festival will showcase a selection of new films that offer an insight into the state of the film industry in Asian countries, covering a variety of genres that run from action films from Hong Kong to socially-aware and indie productions from the regions’ periphery.
