We review the best applications in Apps & Culture 2014
Soon a new edition of the Apps & Culture will be presented, but first let’s remember some apps from last year to inspire next participants.
Apps & Culture is a project initiated and developed by Direcció de Creativitat i Innovació de l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, which aims to find the best applications that facilitate access to culture and contribute to its promotion and development.
In previous edition we discovered Barnart or Festook applications, the Apps & Culture 2014 winners, and the other finalists in the competition. Let’s see them:
Barnart: This online platform and application for Android devices connecting artists and audiences in one application and also helps users to discover the cultural offer in Barcelona. Through the application the user can find cultural events on map and receive notifications directly by the artists.
Festook: An application designed for music festivals lovers. Festook makes a personalized schedule with performances you want to see and recommendations based on your musical preferences.
TuristlQ: This application provides gamification guidebooks of the city. User must dial the attractions that wants to visit and the application will create a route. A fun and alternative experience compared with conventional tourist routes.
App per Festes Majors: With this app you can have all acts of your city celebration ordered in your mobile, it also has geolocation and you can share content with other users.
Undersound: This app is a speaker for all subway musicians. With this application, musicians can connect with public and users can download songs by these artists.
Augmentes Sogbook: This application facilitates learning music to children with the help of augmented reality. The application allows recognizing popular songs and guides child to play the melody.
WeSwing: An application designed for teachers, dancers and musicians associated with swing. A social network that helps finding dance partner and knowing where you can go to practice swing.
Coolturer: An application that allows artists to introduce themselves, sharing their work and interacting directly with public and invite them to cultural events organized.
Explock (Explore & Unlock the city): A way to discover the city in an original way and through the game. This application provides the ability to unlock secrets and surprises to enjoy the city.
Creappcuentos: This app for tablets creates personalized stories in few steps and in the language you choose.
