A virtual visit to La Ribera neighbourhood of the year 1700

This activity, which is scheduled to take place every Saturday from 16 July to 27 August, is organised by Born CCM

This summer, Barcelona’s Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria is offering a new way to get to know what the Ribera neighbourhood was like 300 years ago, including well known sights such as Santa Maria del Mar, the Fossar de les Moreres, and Plaça Palau. Some of the houses in the district maintain their original appearance, while others have experienced major modifications and others have disappeared completely. But the new technologies, such as those used in La Ribera around the year 1700 allow us to rediscover those past realities. The virtual visit that will take place every Saturday afternoon from 16 July to 27 August is a virtual circuit which, through geolocation, allows visitors to see the old neighbourhood recreated in 3D.
