Virtual visit from Fabra i Coats to Science Museum in Trento

The i2Cat Foundation in collaboration with Barcelona Lab hosted a virtual visit from Fabra i Coats to MuSe in Trento

People who attended to Fabra i Coats on January 16 had the opportunity to go on a virtual tour to MuSe (Museum of Science) in Trento. The experiment was organized by the i2Cat Foundation in collaboration with Barcelona Lab. The test consisted in putting on virtual reality glasses that offered a three-dimensional visualization of the Science Museum from Trento. By these glasses, the audience who attended to Fabra i Coats Factory went on a virtual tour to the museum and enjoyed the exhibits from Trento.

At the same time, people from the Science Museum of Trento went on a virtual tour to the facilities of the Fabra i Coats using the same virtual reality system.

This activity was scheduled with the first session of FI-Content user trials experience where participants were invited to test the Smart City Guide application by German Research Institute Fraunhofer FOKUS around the Fabra i Coats. However, due to the rain forecast the activity was suspended and a new date will be sought for the test in a few weeks.

The second test of FI-Content user trials experiencie will be on January 23rd and will take place in Barcelona metro and tram. This time the participants will play in Barcelona's version of augmented reality game Gnome Trader, a game developed by Disney Research and the Polytechnic University of Zurich. The game is based on buying and selling crops from some fantasy characters that are scattered throughout the city. If you want to participate in the test just keep your Android Smartphone and sign up for the activity.
