‘The Shape of Time’

'The Shape of Time': video art at Casa Elizalde

This collective exhibition demonstrates the full potential of this artistic discipline.

Video art is a discipline that is frequently overlooked but one that, thanks to its temporal character and constant technological renewal, is a good tool for analyzing and reflecting on the way we live now. The exhibition ‘La forma del temps’ (The Shape of Time) aims to illustrate that fact by approaching video art as a space of intersection with other disciplines. The videos on display therefore illustrate connections between video, dance, painting and architecture that go beyond the traditional limits of each artistic language. This ability to intersect with other disciplines lends video art the ability create a shared space of references and sensations for all spectators, thereby providing an intimate and immediate reflection of our contemporary reality. The exhibition includes works by artists such as Anna Malagrida, Oscar Muñoz, Paloma Navares, Hans Op de Beeck, Ivan Örkény and Sandy White, Alex Haas and Sam Taylor-Wood.

The exhibition can be seen from 15 January to 23 February. The Casa Elizalde culture centre is open from Monday to Saturday. Admission is free.
