Van Morrison plays the Liceu

The concert will take place on the 21st of December as part of the Mil·lenni Festival

The Lion of Belfast, Van Morrison, will visit the Gran Teatre del Liceu on the weekend before Christmas for an evening that proves to be remarkable for many reasons, including the artist’s track record, the additional factor provided by the exclusivity of the venue and for the excellent form that Morrison has displayed in recent live performances.

Born to Sing. No Plan B is the Northern Irishman’s latest studio work, his thirty-fourth, and while it will feature during the performance, he is also expected to perform numbers from various phases in his extensive discography. His career began as the leader of Them and has included a number of truly memorable releases (Astral Weeks, Moondance, Veedon Fleece...) all of which encompass his personal fusion of folk, blues, soul, country, jazz...

The Van Morrison concert forms part of the current season of the Mil·lenni Festival which, before the year is out, will also offer artists such as Rosana, Lori Meyers, The Pepper Pots, Diana Navarro, Paloma San Basilio and Carlos Núñez.
