Value! 10 debates on the construction of value for the city

La Virreina Centre de la Imatge is staging a cycle of debates to discuss the iconic, historical, political and collective value of various current cultural elements and policies in Barcelona. The debates will also be streamed on the Barcelona Culture website.

La Virreina Centre de la Imatge presents the cycle of debates entitled Value! 10 debates on the construction of value for the city. The cycle is based on 10 scenarios currently open in the city, where the iconic, historical, political and collective value of various current cultural elements and policies in Barcelona today are decided.

Between 17 February and 26 April, La Virreina will be examining various aspects of the city with experts in a variety of fields and disciplines in a cycle that has been coordinated by Jorge Luis Marzo and Joana Masó. All the debates in the cycle will be streamed via Barcelona Culture.

The Value! 10 debates on the construction of value for the city cycle will debate such issues as the Canòdrom as a recreation research park, artistic interventions and monuments in the public space, the role of people and large-scale demonstrations as generators of new icons, multiculturalism, education, and others such as the city's nomenclature.
