The UB Science Festival brings people closer to the research activity developed at the University

On Friday May 22, from 10 AM to 7 PM, the University of Barcelona (UB) opens doors to celebrate the UB Science Festival.

On 22 May 2015, the University of Barcelona opens its door to citizens to celebrate the UB Science Festival. The main objective of the activity is to bring people closer to the research activity developed at the University in an amusing and innovative way.

Throughout the day, UB campuses organise different science dissemination activities —a gymkhana, workshops, lectures, games— that will emphasize the studies developed by researchers in every subject area and describe to what extent does research contributes to the progress of societies.

It is the first time that the UB organises an activity that involves the whole university community and nearly every UB school and faculty. The Historic Building hosts the science gymkhana. Two turns are offered: one in the morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and one in the afternoon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Registration is required to participate in any of the turns. If you are interested, please register yourself on this link

The programme of events taking place at each faculty and school is available on the website. Some activities require previous registration.

The Gymkhana will take place at the Historic Building of the University of Barcelona (585, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 08007 Barcelona).

Registration is required for some activities and events.
