Two awards Future Internet for multidisciplinary scenic projects

The Direcció de Creativitat i Innovació de l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) encourages the cultural and creative industry of the city to participate on the awards Future Internet - Performing Arts. The call runs until June 12 and will award two projects with 20,000 euros each, with the possibility of accessing to the Grec Festival 2016 program.

Future Internet-Performing Arts it is an aid for multidisciplinary stage productions wich use Future Internet technologies (FI) and distributed creating. The aim is to encourage artistic experimentation, using a technology that allows the creation and simultaneous interaction in diferent geographical areas and in real time. This is a new one possibility to explore new formats and new artistic content and also could be part Grec poster next year.

Theater companies and dance artists and technologists with individual projects or in collaboration with other organizations, companies in the field of performing arts, universities and foundations focused on the combination of art, science and technology are the groups that can be presented to aid.

The two best proposals will receive 20,000 euros each and will develop a prototype of the winning initiative before July 31. During this process they will have access to Specifi WMD technology and will have specific technological training and support in pre-production and production.

The selected projects will also be eligible for evaluation to access the Grec 2016 program, an assessment to be undertaken by the artistic committee of the festival.

To facilitate participation in the awards is organized a briefing on Tuesday, May 19, 18 to 20h in Fabra i Coats-Fàbrica de Creació.
