La Capella is celebrating 25 years of activity with three new exhibitions

The exhibitions are 'The Scenes: 25 years of La Capella', 'La Capella Community' and 'La Capella: 600 Years in the Raval'.

La Capella is an arts venue used by the Barcelona Institute of Culture to showcase emerging creation. In recent years, the activity here has focused on the organization of exhibitions in order to present the most innovative proposals by the city’s artists to the general public. Located in the middle of the Raval neighbourhood, the venue has now been open to the public for 25 years and to mark that important occasion is going to host three new exhibitions.

'The Scenes: 25 years of La Capella' is a collective exhibition in which four curators and a cultural critic with close links to the venue come together to reflect on its past, present and future. 'La Capella Community' aims to be a kind of catalogue containing the names of the artists, curators, critics and research professionals who have been made La Capella what it is today and who are laying the foundations for what it may become in the future. Finally, 'La Capilla: 600 Years in the Raval' is a new permanent exhibition on the venue that will offer a brief explanation of its history. The exhibitions can be seen from Tuesday to Sunday starting on 27 January.

Admission to La Capella is free of charge and open to everyone. Additional information is available on the La Capella website.
