The TEDxRambles 2013 will focus on science, technology and consciousness

20-minute talks with concrete proposals to improve the world through education in science, technology, economics, etc..

On July 4th will take place the TEDxRAMBLES 2013 at the CCCB (Montalegre 5, Barcelona), with a program on the topic "Science, Technology and conscience." A trilogy that will cover the need of "literacy" in these matters, but also to incorporate the critical and ethical component. For a better understanding of contemporary culture it is necessary that we illustrate in scientific and technical subjects, but also to know how to develop critical arguments about the excesses of scientistic culture. The event can be followed live or streamed.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The TEDx program gives communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently.
