Tan-Tán, a comprehensive platform for the contemporary art professionals

The project, developed by TuerCo, has been part of CreatiFi

One of the projects selected for the CreatiFI  program led by the Direcció de Creativitat i Innovació de l'Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, is Tan-Tána platform for the contemporary art industry, aimed at artists, curators and institutions in which you will find a number of specialized tools for their daily work. "Tan-tan helps them improve their management, communication, visibility and to have a general view of what is currently happening in art, what we call “The pulse of the art”, explains TuerCo, the company that has developed Tan-Tan.

The innovative aspect of Tan-Tán is a comprehensive platform designed as a solution to the real problems and needs of those who work daily in the sector. "In the art market there are many platforms, but none of them provides tools. Usually, they focus on the business aspect of the sale of works of art or institutions and visitors to museums”, explains TuerCo, a company formed by artists and computer experts, that offers technological consultation to artistic projects. Tan-Tan is the first product of TuerCo and emerged from the analysis that its team made of the art sector. "Through a series of interviews, we found that there was a great need for specialized tools for the art market," they explain.

Currently, Tan-Tán it’s in development and testing stage. "We’ve been working on the project for over a year and half and we have a group of artists, curators and institutions that are helping us shape the platform to make it really useful," says TuerCo. Having the support of CreatiFI was a big boost for the project. "Having financial support allowed us to focus only on developing this product that excites and motivates us. It has also given us access to business coaching and given us tools and confidence to think of other investors or supports and other strategies to bring our prototype to the market and to the hands of our users.” he explained.
