"Tan bè que anàvem...", a performance by Carles Flavià and Jaume Sisa in La Seca Espai Brossa

With humour and complicity, the duo of artists reflect on the passing of time and of a Barcelona that no longer exists

Defined by the authors themselves as meta-theatre, Tan bè que anàvem... is a performance that explores the friendship between Carles Flaviá and Jaume Sisa. The showman and the singer-songwriter present a reflection on life that is nurtured by their own memories and confessions.

As the title suggests (And it was all going so well...), the content of the show is based on all that could have been and never was. This is a performance by two artists which, through improvisation, mutates into a performance that is tailored to the personalities of the performers themselves. Under the direction of Pau Miró, ‘Tan bè que avànem...’ reveals itself as a work of existentialist humour. “We want to make the audience laugh, but we want them to take us seriously”, says Sisa.

With each of the artists displaying their particular talents (the texts of Flaviá and the voice and guitar of Sisa), the performance is both a reflection by two old friends on current affairs as well as a nostalgia-free look at the changing face of Barcelona over the years.

Barcelona Culture and La Seca Espai Brossa are offering a two-for-one entrance fee of 20€ for the 8.30pm performance on the 21st of March. More information here.
