La Caseta del Migdia

The best sunset in town at La Caseta del Migdia

Enjoy good views, music and food, all in the same place.

Montjuïc offers the best views of the sunset in Barcelona. Watching the day come to an end from Barcelona’s Olympic mountain has a charm that is unrivalled by any of the city’s other viewpoints. And hidden away up on Montjuïc is a spot that few people know about. It’s called Mirador del Migdia, a level area offering privileged views of the city where you’ll find a restaurant, La Caseta del Migdia, in which you can enjoy these idyllic surroundings together with food, drink and live music. Each day of the week from Wednesday to Sunday has concerts in a different musical style. Wednesdays are for rumba with Sardinas & Rumba. On Thursdays there’s a musical selection by Javier Verdes. Fridays are for funk with Guille de Juan, while Saturdays are full of Latin rhythms with Mexican brothers Diego & Paco. The performances end on Sundays with flamenco by Esperanza Cortes.

La Caseta del Migdia is open from Wednesday to Sunday until late at night. At weekends, the restaurant is also open at lunch time.

Access to Mirador del Migdia is free, but if you want to sit on the terrace listening to music you will be expected to make a purchase. Additional information is available at the following link.
