The ‘Star Wars’ soundtrack in concert at Palau de la Música

The Camera Musicae symphony orchestra to star in a special concert performing the soundtrack written by John Williams for the famous George Lucas film.

Is there anyone in the world unfamiliar with the main theme from 'Star Wars', that fanfare written by John Williams that kicks off the most famous adventure film of all time? Probably not, though there will always be people who have not seen any of the movies in the series and are quite happy to keep things that way. Nonetheless, 'Star Wars' has millions of fans all over the world, and part of the success of the series is in its soundtrack. John Williams wrote the soundtrack of the first trilogy, the soundtrack of the second trilogy, and finally the soundtrack for “Episode VII – The Force Awakens". In addition, he is the composer of soundtracks for films like Indiana Jones, E.T. and Superman. And that is the music we’ll hear on 16 and 17 December at the Palau de la Música, coinciding with the premiere of Star Wars Episode VIII, 'The Last Jedi'.

The orchestra responsible for reviving John Williams’ music will be Camera Musicae, who have prepared a program based on the most famous parts of the Star Wars saga, as well as other compositions written by Williams for other films. In total a program, lasting over an hour, starting at the family-friendly time of 12 noon that is sure to delight Star Wars fans.

You’ll find more information on the Palau de la Música website, where you can also book your tickets.
