The soundtrack of Star Wars at the Palau de la Música

Coinciding with the expected premiere of the Episode VII of the famous galactic saga, on 17 and Sunday December 20 we can hear live the best compositions for the cinema of the master John Williams

It is impossible to listen to the titles of these movies and do not be able to hum without any difficulty the tunes of their soundtracks: Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Superman, Jurassic Park, …

Musical compositions by the composer and American conductor John Williams are true epic hymns for several generations.

Coinciding with the expectation of the world premiere on 18 December next chapter of Star Wars, The Force Awakens, directed by JJ Abrams, the Palau de la Música offers two very special concerts, entitled La Música Contraatacaon 17 and 20 December.

In these two sessions the orchestra musically recreates some of the most celebrated passages of the formidable series of science fiction films initiated by George Lucas in the late 70's. The music of a genius like John Williams rises to epic categories each of the passages of the story of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. For the occasion, the Camera Musicae Orchestra, along with the Cor Jove de l'Orfeo Català, under the direction of Salvador Brotons and Esteve Nabona, will lift all that cinematic imagination through the music of Williams. In the first part of each concert they will sound also sound fragments of other films with scores of John Williams.

These two events are much more than concerts, as fans can also enjoy an exhibition of cinematic relics, and a photocall with the imposing presence of the characters from these films.
