Palau Dalmases

Opera in small format at Palau Dalmases

Every Thursday evening, the Petita Companyia is offering evenings of opera in the outstanding setting of a baroque mansion house.

There's a secret place in Barcelona where you can hear opera every Thursday evening in a magical setting. We're talking about Palau Dalmases, a baroque mansion house in Carrer Montcada in the heart of the Born neighbourhood. These evenings of opera are offered by the Petita Companyia Lírica de Barcelona, a group that is specialised in arias, duets and small format opera performances. The recitals begin at 11pm.

The repertoire of the Petita Companyia is extensive and includes popular classics by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini and Donizetti. The company is made up of nine singers (two baritones, four sopranos, two mezzo-sporanos and one tenor) and a pianist, Elke Sanjosé, who is in charge of the performance.

You'll find additional information on the Palau Dalmases website, where you can also buy tickets.
