The show of the Festa Catalana returns to the Montjuïc Castle

Catalan tradition is back in celebration on 5 and 6 September, with music, Sardana, trabucaires and more

La Festa Catalana is a small festival of popular culture that offers live display during the warmer months, in different areas of the city, mainly the Gothic Quarter and Montjuïc. The aim is to persuade tourists the most genuinely Catalan traditions and highlight the wealth of Barcelona's popular culture.

Therefore they involved a good string of city entities: Castelleras clusters, the Falcons of Barcelona, ​​Moixiganga, sardana groups, and couples of giants among others.

For the start of the season that comes with September, the Castell de Montjuïc holds two of the most exciting appointments:

On September 5, from 17 to 19 h we can attend "Del contrapàs a la sardana", where we enjoy the art of an eighteenth century Quartet, Colla de Ministrers, Grup Sardanista Maig, and shows of baroque dance.

By September 6, the Castell has reserved us a very special celebration of the National Day of Catalonia. From 17 to 19h, a formidable array of traditional and popular music, trabucaires, ribbon dance, bastoners and giants.
