Science at Christmas, at the CCCB

In this new edition of Science at Christmas we will reflect on the possible future, from science to science fiction. On December 21, at the CCCB. Free entrance.

A responsible, critical society must incorporate scientific knowledge into its educational system as well as into everyday discussion. It is necessary to uphold knowledge and rational thinking as an essential part of our culture. As Carl Sagan said, “Science is light in the darkness”, and it is a light that must be kept burning.

This is the spirit of the third “Science at Christmas” lecture series, organized by the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (CSIC-UPF) with the support of the Botín Foundation and the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).

6:00 PM: RICARD SOLÉ. +FUTURE: us, the planet and science.
6:30 PM: MIQUEL BARCELÓ. The science of the future according to science fiction.
