La Caseta

Rumba every Wednesday at La Caseta

Montjuïc's secret viewpoint spot is open all summer and once a week invites you to eat sardines and listen to live music for a very reasonable price.

La Caseta is almost a secret spot in Barcelona. It's hidden away up on Montjuïc, at Mirador del Migdia, and has certain characteristics that make it unique. First of all, it's the best place in the city for viewing the sunset, thanks to its perfect locaiton and the absence of visual obstacles, and, once night has fallen, it's also a fantastic spot for having a drink, dining and partying. La Caseta is imbued with the traditional cross-cultural spirit of Barcelona and every night features live music and serves sardines, botifarrades and crepes. From Wednesday to Sunday it hosts professional DJs, but it's on Wednesdays that La Caseta best transmits the true spirit of Barcelona.

While there's flamenco on Sundays, funk and black music on Fridays and Saturdays, and bossa nova on Thursdays, on Wednesdays it's time for live rumba music with Rumbalà. Admission to La Caseta is free during the rest of the week, but on rumba Wednesdays the logistics get more complex and it's important to prebook since the menu also changes with the addition of grilled sardines.

If you want to live the experience of eating fish and listening to popular Barcelona music don't miss this chance. Additional information is available on the La Caseta website.
